Indymedia, the Internet-based network of Independent Media Centres (IMCs) that has rapidly developed since the Seattle protests against the WTO. As a reference for the movement for an alternative world, it reveals the new use of the Internet, the new practice by anarchists and other anti-capitalist groups.
The article examines the organization, sociopolitics and news cultures of Indymedia, using the theoretical tools of recent alternative media [1]
