Abstract
Isaak was the publisher of the anarchist papers The Firebrand and Free Society. He was in the Mennonite Chortiza colony in Rosenthal, Ukraine and later founded the Aurora Colony in Lincoln, California. The article presents Isaak’s life on the basis of primary sources, particularly in the Fales Library and Special Collections at New York University.
