2011 – 2012 Call-out / Demande de soumissions

In May of 2011, SUBVERSIONS, the Montréal Anarchist Writers Bloc’s first collection
of short fiction, was unleashed to wreak literary havoc on the world.
From that point on, two choices presented themselves: either sit down and read the
first tome, or sit down and write for the second!
Libertarians, to your keyboards, plumes, pens or typewriters: you have until October
31st 2011 to write an original work of short fiction, of a maximum of 2500 words,
which would be published in the second installment of SUBVERSIONS.
The Bloc, founded during the 11th Anarchist Bookfair in Montréal, aims to promote
anarchist theory and praxis through literature.
As anarchist writers, we fight for the establishment of a free, autonomous, egalitarian
and green society through direct action and direct democracy. Anarchist literature
contributes to that struggle, and if you think your works of short fiction should be part
of the revolution, you can submit them to us at this address.
Although we
do prefer an electronic copy, feel free to submit a paper version if you prefer by
sending it to Anarchist Writers Bloc c/o Librairie Insoumise, 2033 St-Laurent,
Montréal (QC), H2X 2T3.
This time around, on top of French and English, we will accept texts written in
Spanish and Italian.
For more details on the writing process, how the texts are selected or should be sent,
visit our website at http://awb.daemonflower.com or send us an e-mail
at this address.
The chaotic infinity of possibilities is before us; all we need to do is commit it to
paper.
