" It is argued that as the first proponent of political anarchism Godwin’s anti-government thesis stems from his commitment to individual private judgment. Godwin’s theory of human nature, political forms and property relations are shown to stem from this same commitment. In conclusion Godwin’s theory of individual private judgment is presented as a critical tool to evaluate any social construct".
