Accountant and after he retired, around 1908, opened a small shop of oriental pottery and prints near the Bank of England. This adventure was unsuccessful, because he could not sell the objects he appreciated most.
An enthusiastic Nietschean, very warlike. He quarreled with Tucker over the rights of children and with Meulen, opposed to war, in 1914.
