Japanintellectuals and IntelligentsiaChina : history of anarchismTokyo (Japan)* bibliographie

Papers on Far Eastern History [Australia] (1990) 41: 77-96.

Examines the writings of Chinese intellectuals, living in Japan, such as Zhang Taiyan (1869-1936), Chen Duxiu (1879-1942) and Li Dazhao (1889-1927). Their anarchist leanings differ from those in Paris as they tend to seek the roots of their ideas in China’s history and seek to preserve individual autonomy from social restraints.
